Talent Terms of Use
The terms governing your use of Humans.id as a candidate.

By creating a Humans.id account and ticking the acceptance checkbox at registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Talent Terms of Use and the associated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not create an account or use the platform.
1. About the Platform and What We Are
Humans.id is a recruitment technology platform operated by Human by Design Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", or "our"). The platform allows candidates to create a Professional Video Profile and apply for roles posted by employers and recruitment agencies ("Subscribers").
It is important to understand what we are and what we are not:
- We are a technology platform. We are not a recruitment agency, an employment agency, or an agent acting on your behalf.
- We do not represent you in any employment negotiation.
- We do not guarantee that you will be contacted, shortlisted, or offered employment as a result of using the platform.
- Hiring decisions are made exclusively by Subscribers. We have no influence over those decisions and accept no responsibility for them.
- Our platform sits between you and the Subscriber. Once your data is shared with a Subscriber at your request, that Subscriber acts independently under their own obligations.
2. Your Account
To use the platform you must create an account. When you register, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete information about yourself
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a real individual acting in your own capacity
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with anyone else
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, you must notify us immediately at support@myhumans.id.
3. Your Profile and Video Content
3.1 Accuracy of Your Content
You warrant that all information you submit to the platform, including your Professional Video Profile, video introduction, CV, work history, skills, qualifications, and any other content, is accurate, complete, and not misleading at the time of submission.
Submitting false, exaggerated, or misleading information may result in immediate suspension or deletion of your account. We accept no liability for consequences arising from inaccurate information you have provided, including any consequences arising from a Subscriber discovering inaccuracies after you have been introduced to them.
3.2 Your Content and Our Right to Use It
You retain ownership of your personal data and content at all times. By submitting content to the platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and transmit that content to Subscribers for the purpose of facilitating recruitment, consistent with your privacy settings and consent choices.
This licence ends when you delete your account. Deletion is governed by our Privacy Policy, and certain data may be retained for a limited period where required by law.
3.3 Prohibited Content
You must not submit content that:
- Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
- Belongs to another person or infringes any intellectual property right
- Contains offensive, discriminatory, or unlawful material
- Contains malware, viruses, or any harmful code
- Is designed to deceive, manipulate, or mislead any Subscriber or other user
We reserve the right to remove any content that breaches these requirements without notice.
4. AI Assisted Assessment
You acknowledge and accept that the platform uses artificial intelligence to generate an automated assessment of your suitability for roles you apply for. This assessment covers dimensions including skills, experience, industry fit, location, right to work eligibility, and salary expectations.
The following applies to all AI assessments:
- AI outputs are a second opinion to assist Subscriber decision-making. They are not a hiring decision.
- No candidate is ever automatically rejected or shortlisted by the AI. All shortlisting and rejection decisions are made by a real human at the Subscriber.
- Scores are role-relative. A lower score on one role does not reflect your overall suitability as a professional.
- AI outputs are generated by a third-party provider (currently Anthropic PBC) using instructions designed by us. Your data is transmitted to that provider under appropriate contractual safeguards as described in our Privacy Policy.
- The AI is re-run after you record your video introduction, meaning your video can positively affect your score if it demonstrates skills or depth not captured in your CV.
If you have concerns about how AI assessment has been applied in a specific situation, you may contact us at support@myhumans.id to request a human review of that assessment.
5. How Your Data Is Used
Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy and understand how your data is used.
Key points relevant to you as a candidate:
- Your data is not shared with any Subscriber unless you have explicitly expressed interest in a specific role or applied for one.
- When you apply for a role, you consent to share your data with that specific Subscriber for that role and, where indicated, for consideration for other roles with that Subscriber.
- Before your data is shared with a Subscriber outside the UK or EU, you will be informed of the employer's identity and the location of their headquarters.
- Your data is stored on AWS servers in Frankfurt, Germany, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- You can withdraw from a specific role at any time without deleting your account entirely.
- You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. We will action this within 5 working days.

6. Withdrawing from a Role
You may withdraw from a specific role application at any time via the platform. When you withdraw:
- We will remove you from that role pipeline immediately.
- We will notify the relevant Subscriber within 2 working days.
- The Subscriber retains the right to contact you about other current or future roles, subject to the consent you gave at the point of application and applicable data protection law, unless you have requested full account deletion.
Withdrawing from a role is distinct from deleting your account. If you want all contact to stop and all your data to be deleted, you must request full account deletion.
7. Acceptable Use
You may use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the platform to apply for roles on behalf of someone else
- Create multiple accounts for the same individual
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform
- Interfere with the security or operation of the platform
- Use the platform in any way that could bring us or any Subscriber into disrepute
- Use the platform for any purpose other than genuine career and employment activity
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe these rules have been breached, without prior notice where we consider it necessary to protect the platform or other users.
8. Our Responsibilities and Liability
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the platform available and functioning. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and we are not liable for any loss arising from temporary downtime or technical issues.
We are not responsible for:
- Any hiring decision made by a Subscriber, including any decision not to shortlist or progress your application
- The accuracy or completeness of any role posted by a Subscriber
- The conduct or decisions of any Subscriber or employer after your data has been shared with them
- Any outcome of the recruitment process, including failure to secure employment
- Loss of income, opportunity, or reputation arising from use of the platform
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the platform is limited to the amount of any fees paid by you to us. As the platform is free for candidates, this means our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
9. Changes to the Platform and These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email using the address associated with your account, or by a prominent notice when you next log in. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may also update or change the features of the platform at any time. We will aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect how your data is used.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We will process your deletion request within 5 working days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time if:
- You breach these Terms
- We are required to do so by law
- We cease to operate the platform
On termination, your right to use the platform ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that are intended to survive termination, including those relating to liability, accuracy warranties, and governing law, will continue to apply.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
